GREEN BAY (WGBA) -- It is the 2nd time people are heading to the polls during the pandemic. This time, voters say things went smoother.

"I was in and out in 10 minutes," said Michael McCotter, a voter.

In April, many voters waited in line for hours to cast a ballot. This happened because Green Bay could not get enough poll workers - many opted out due to the pandemic. The city was forced to condense to just two.

However, things seemed to better organized. There were 17 voting locations in Green Bay for Tuesday's primary. Many of them were in the old Sears building. Inside, voters were spread out and all workers used face shields or masks to help workers.

"I felt very safe," McCotter said. "Anyone who is worried about voting shouldn't be. It was may more organized than in April."

Each location was spread out by more than six feet. Workers installed plexiglass shields for extra protection. Plus, workers sanitized each station before use.

"We did the best we can," said Karen Schley, one of the poll location organizers. "We had time to prepare and we made sure we had enough measures for people to stay safe."
