Donors wanted for Wednesday's MASH Blood Drive

Posted

The Community Blood Center is urging donors to come out for the 29th annual MASH Blood Drive this Wednesday in Appleton.

Summer is a time when the blood supply suffers. Families are busy taking vacations, and blood drives at schools are put on hold.

The Community Blood Center launched its Every Pint is a Possibility campaign in an effort to sign up 2,000 donors between June and September.

"Donating a unit of blood can save the lives of up to three people and those could be friends, family members, neighbors in our community, and that really makes every pint a possibility," said Vice President of Donor Services Kristine Belanger.

You can help with the campaign by donating on Wednesday at the MASH Blood Drive. It's being held at Houdini Plaza in downtown Appleton from 7:00am to 6:00pm. You can get a free T-shirt, snacks, and beverages. A donation will also be made to the Post 30 AMVETS in Greenville for every blood donation made.
