Friday, Dateline will run a two hour episode highlighting the George Burch homicide trial.
The episode will run a week after a judge sentenced George Burch to life in prison without a chance at parole.
A few months before the sentencing, a jury convicted Burch for killing Nicole VanderHeyden in May 2016.
Burch tried to pin the murder on VanderHeyden's boyfriend, Doug Detrie.
In an exclusive Dateline interview, Burch is standing by his story.
"I'll say this to you straightforward so you understand it correctly, I have not made up any single part of this at all, in this least little bit," Burch said. "Everything I have stated is exactly what happened."
During his trial, prosecutors attacked Burch's story, calling it insulting and total fiction.
The Dateline episode will feature interviews with those prosecutors and investigators, as well as members of VanderHeyden's family.
It runs on NBC26 at 8 p.m. Friday night.
