One person is dead after a head on collision in Shawano County.
It happened on Highway 55 at Beauprey Rd. around 6:10 a.m. on Monday.
Both directions of Highway 55 remain closed at this time.
The following alternate route is recommended: NB traffic should go N on Engel Dr. to Industrial Dr., N to Richmond St., E back to WIS 55. Southbound traffic can reverse the directions.
According to the WI DOT, roads in that area were ice covered at the time.
