MADISON (NBC 26) — As of Sunday, about 20% of the population in Wisconsin has completed the coronavirus vaccination series, according to new numbers from the state Department of Health Services.

The number of completed vaccinated people is 1,170,042, a total of 20.1% of the population. According to DHS, a total of 3,083,951 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Wisconsin residents.

DHS's website shows 584 new cases Sunday, a drop from Saturday’s case count of 706. The state has reached a total of 479,877 confirmed cases since the pandemic began.

At least 6,639 have died of coronavirus complications. The DHS said Sunday an adjustment in the death data reflects a change in a previously reported case.
