Wisconsin reports more than 2,000 new coronavirus cases Thursday

MADISON (NBC 26) -- Wisconsin has once again broken its record for highest number of new coronavirus cases reported in a single day.

New data from the state Department of Health Services shows 2,034 new cases of COVID-19 in the state Thursday.

The percentage of coronavirus tests returning a positive result shot back up to double digits Thursday, at 17.8%. The number of coronavirus tests that came back negative was 9,411.

Wisconsin has now confirmed 94,746 cases of coronavirus in the state. The percentage of those cases listed as recovered went down Thursday to 86.5%.

There are now 11,595 active cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, an increase of 756 from the previous day.
