WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — State health officials reported 1,865 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday. This is the first time in five days that daily new case numbers were below 2,000.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) said 17.2% of almost 11,000 tests came back positive for the virus, a decrease of 3% from Saturday.
According to the DHS, active cases remains at over 24,000 people across Wisconsin. An estimated 107,004 people in the state have been marked as recovered from the virus.
Five more deaths have been linked to coronavirus, bringing the state total to 1,377 people who have died.
Hospitalizations is at 5.8% of positive COVID-19 cases with an increase of 58 since Saturday, for a resulting 7,646 people in Wisconsin ever hospitalized with the virus.
