MADISON (NBC 26) — Coronavirus numbers in Wisconsin are on the rise again.
The state Department of Health Services reported Tuesday that 1,582 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were added to the system for a 7-day average of 1,101 cases per day. The last time the numbers were that high was in January.
Additionally, DHS reported six new COVID-related deaths on Tuesday, the highest since early July.
Nearly 50% of Wisconsin residents are fully vaccinated, according to DHS. Numbers on the DHS website showWisconsin is nearing a total of 6 million vaccine shots in arms.
