Wisconsin reports 727 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday

MADISON (NBC 26) -- Wisconsin reported 727 new cases of coronavirus Thursday.

It comes as Gov. Tony Evers and Wisconsin health officials provided another update on coronavirus in the state.

The total number of confirmed cases in Wisconsin is now at 77,856, with 89% of those cases listed as recovered. 7,393 cases are currently active in the state.

Four more people died Thursday from the virus, raising the death total to 1,146 in Wisconsin.

The latest numbers come as Wisconsin health officials announce changes to the state Department of Health Services's website, stating that data such as showing age groups affected by the virus will become more accessible on the site.
