OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — New places to get the COVID-19 vaccine are being set up at local college campuses.

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh announced Wednesday a community COVID-19 vaccination center will open next week to eligible members of the public by appointment only. This week, eligible healthcare workers, essential workers and others in Phase 1a are being vaccinated at the site on a limited basis, UWO says. The site will begin taking appointments soon for the full opening the week of Feb. 15.

The new Oshkosh vaccination site is located in the Culver Family Welcome Center, at 625 Pearl Ave., Oshkosh. To request an appointment, visit the vaccination page of the UW Oshkosh Titans Return website.

Also on Wednesday, UWGB also announced a new vaccination site. A Prevea Community COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will soon open on the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus at 750 W. Bay Shore St. in Marinette. It is also for those eligible for the vaccine and it also requires appointments. The fastest way to get an appointment scheduled is with MyPrevea, which can be set up at www.myprevea.com. If you do not have access or are unable to use the internet, Prevea has a toll-free number dedicated to COVID-19 vaccination questions and information at 833-344–4373.
