COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin surpass 30,000 as deaths near 800

Wisconsin saw an increase of 579 confirmed coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the state's total to over 30,300 positive cases.

This is the fourth day in a row the state has had over 550 daily cases.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said 5.7% of tests have come back positive out of the 10,186 processed.

As the state's death count nears 800, health officials said three more people with the virus have died and 36 more people have been hospitalized.

According to the Department's data, three counties in the state have an over 90% recovery rate. These are Brown County, Door County, and Fond du Lac County.
