MADISON (NBC 26) -- The total number of deaths related to coronavirus in Wisconsin has now passed 800.
New data from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services show the total number of deaths is now 805, an increase of nine. This was the first time in about three days since the state had reported any deaths related to coronavirus.
The percent rate of coronavirus tests that come back positive dropped significantly on Tuesday to 3.9%. The past three days had seen the percentage rate between 9 and 10 percent. The number of reported tests was high compared to the last few days, with 12,099 tests returning a negative result.
Wisconsin saw 495 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. The state has recorded a total of 32,556 cases, but nearly 80% of those people have recovered. There are 5,988 cases currently active in Wisconsin.
