BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (NBC 26) -- The COVID-19 pandemic is causing many change to Easter plans, including church services.

Bishop David Ricken with the Diocese of Green Bay said this is the highest Holy Week of the year for Catholics. He said he has never come across something like this in his priesthood, knowing that churches will be empty during this time. Many churches have been sharing their Sunday Mass online through live-streams.

Bishop Ricken said the silver-lining in all this is that people are able to connect with each other virtually and can practice their faith at home during this time. He said although it isn't a personal connection, it is still spiritual.

"I think our real celebration of Easter will be after the pandemic is no longer dangerous for people, and we get back to normal, and perhaps even more will join us now after going through all this," added Bishop Ricken.

The Diocese of Green Bay will be streaming Mass online during Holy Week.

Holy Thursday Mass will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Good Friday Liturgy will be at 3 p.m. Friday.
The Easter Vigil will be at 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
Easter Sunday Mass will be at 9 a.m. Sunday.
