The storms have passed, and now the clean-up begins.
In Oakfield, many people woke up today counting their blessings that the storm wasn’t worse.
A lot of people remember the Oakfield Tornado from 1996, an F5 twister that many say caused far more damage than what happened on Tuesday.
Sandy Steger is salvaging all she can from her garden, which was completely underwater. She says she’s grateful her family is safe and there to help.
"We were waiting for a nice day. We are very thankful that the sun is out today, you know, to be able to get some work done and tomorrow,” says Steger. “The kids all took vacation days, so they can come and help with the clean-up, because it's a family farm, everyone pitches in and helps out."
They have trees down in their yard like many others and some damage to their barn, but Steger says it should all be cleaned up by the weekend.
Others have more damage to their homes. One person told NBC26 his barn shifted on its foundation.
