A Wisconsin native has been climbing to the top on NBC's hit show The Voice Season 15.
Chris Kroeze, 27, of Barron, Wisconsin has been a showstopper on Blake Shelton's team.
This Monday he'll be looking for fans to vote him into the top eight on the competition. Chris says being on the show has been a humbling experience and he has been loving the support from everyone back home in Wisconsin.
Chris has made a few trips home to perform for students at local schools since a tragedy in Barron involving a missing girl and a double-homicide investigation.
"I mean, this is a 13-year-old girl, we have no idea where she is or her well-being," said Chris.
Jayme Closs went missing more than a month ago after her parents were both killed in their home. The case has received nationwide attention, but with every day that passes without new leads can be frustrating and disheartening for the small community.
"We have to keep her in our thoughts, we can't let her go on the back burner," said Chris.
As for Chris he says he hasn't thought much beyond his time on The Voice, but that he's got some original music in the works and ready for fans.
