SHAWANO, WI -- A spokesperson for Cellcom tells NBC26 a series of spam text messages are being sent to their customers.
The company was alerted to the scam around 10:30 a.m. Saturday from a customer in the Shawano area.
They say the text messages can say a variety of different things, but at some point they ask for you to click on a link and send money somewhere.
Cellcom says do not do this, instead call them. The customer service helpline is 1-800-236-0055.
Technicians are working to block the address.
