Brendan Dassey's mother, Barbara Tadych has set up a GoFundMeaccount for her son for if he should be released from prison.
She's looking to raise $10,000 according to the site which would help Dassey get on his feet after being behind bars for ten years.
Tadych says on the page, "Thank you to everyone who supports my son. Brendan, myself and our family appreciate the support more than words can say. We hope to have Brendan home very soon."
The page already has gotten more than 600 shares and upwards of $900 toward the $10,000 goal.
Tadych says 100 percent of the funds raised will go toward Dassey trying to get on his feet again should he get out of prison.
NBC26 reached out to Brendan's Dassey's brother Brad Dassey who denied an on camera interview, but told NBC26 in a statement, "I'm shocked $900 dollars was raised in 3 days. The supporters are extremely gracious, that's for sure. God bless them."
On Brendan's GoFundMe page Tadych is also asking people to sign a petition asking state legislators to create a law requiring attorneys to be present when minors are interrogated by police.
