HOWARD (NBC 26) -- The school year in Wisconsin is now in its second week, and one family says things are running smoothly.
"We have had only a few minor issues," said Dana Tingley, whose children are learning virtually.
The Howard Suamico School District gave families the option to move virtually to start the year. Tingley says she chose that option because it is safer.
"We feel much safer," she says. "We don't have any anxiety or fear about what is happening in the outside world."
She says the biggest issue with online learning is getting everyone's schedules right. She mounted each child's class schedule to their desks so they wouldn't forget.
"This isn't vacation," she says. "When you learning, you are a learning. Emails are checked at 8 a.m. at 8:30 it is off to history."
