A one-vehicle ATV crash killed a 31-year-old rural Montello man Thursday.
At 1:26 a.m. April 7, the Marquette County 911 Center received a report of a single ATV in the ditch on 19th Avenue in the town of Mecan. Upon arrival, deputies found Thomas Scharenberg injured at the scene of the crash. Scharenberg was transported to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage by Marquette County EMS.
Scharenberg succumbed to his injuries at University Hospital in Madison.
This crash is being investigated by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Recourses and the Marquette County Coroner’s Office.
