Attorney General Brad Schimel announced Tuesday a program to protect seniors from abuse.

The new pilot project is called the 'Safe Seniors Camera Program' to help stop suspected in-home caregivers from abusing elderly and disabled patients.

The new program will allow residents to use a covert camera to gather surveillance of someone who may have been harmed by a caregiver in their residence.

Participants in the program will get a camera and a memory card for 30 days to gather evidence.

If you would like a camera, you're asked to contact the Winnebago, Outagamie or the Brown County Sherrif's Office.
