GREEN BAY, Wis. (NBC 26) — Former UW-Green Bay guard Kamari McGee has found a new place to play, and he won't be going very far.
McGee announced Tuesday he will transfer to play for the Badgers. The Racine native led the Phoenix in scoring last season on his way to Horizon League All-Freshman honors.

After playing one season at Green Bay, McGee entered the transfer portal last week. The Racine native said he was prepared to leave Wisconsin, but when the Badgers came calling he couldn't pass it up.
I caught up with Kamari earlier today. The Badgers are getting a great one.
