GREEN BAY — The Brown County District Attorney's Office announcing tonight that the investigation into the death of Jonathon Tubby has been completed.
They have reviewed investigative materials from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal investigation, including investigative reports, audio and video recordings, photographs, written and recorded statements, the autopsy report, crime lab findings and other materials.
The Brown County District Attorney's office is in the process of drafting a written report based on their findings as to whether there is a a basis to file criminal charges in the matter.
A press conference is scheduled for Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. to announce their findings.
The Department of Justice said Tubby was taken into custody on October 19, 2018, after being stopped by officers.
They said he was wanted on felony arrest warrants.
Tubby was shot and killed by a Green Bay Police officer in the Sally Port of the Brown County Jail after what the DOJ called a "very long" confrontation.
