ROSENDALE, Wis. - The Rosendale Fire Department responded to a fire on Rose-Eld Road Sunday around 11:00 p.m.
When crews arrived on scene they found the corn dryer fully engulfed.
They say the corn dryer was fully loaded with charcoal and corn, and was overheating inside.
The fire chief says this type of fire is difficult to put out because crews have to get into the dryer itself and get water onto the corn. The snow and cold temperatures contributed to the difficulty in fighting the flames.
No one was injured.
