WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. — The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the massive chain reaction crash that clogged a part of I-41 on Sunday.
About 131 vehicles were involved in Sunday's crash just south of Neenah. In a Monday press release, the Sheriff's Office says investigators "are diligently working to ensure each vehicle is thoroughly documented for damage, and that information for all occupants has been accounted for."
The Sheriff's Office says most of the vehicles are a total loss and not drivable. Given the magnitude of the crash, the Sheriff's Office says this process will likely take several days.
Owners will be contacted once their vehicle is able to be released from impound. If you have any information in regards to this crash, or have questions about your vehicle, please call 920-236-7657.
