GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers placed running back Aaron Jones on injured reserve Tuesday afternoon.

Jones sustained a knee injury in the first half of the Packers' loss at Chicago Sunday and did not return to the game. He told NBC26 after the game the injury was similar to his MCL strain that kept him out of two games in 2017 and was in the same knee, but he had yet to speak with doctors on a prognosis at the time.

In 12 games, Jones put up 728 yards on 133 carries, with eight touchdowns and a 5.5 average, which is still the top yards-per-carry mark in the NFL.

The Packers also announced some other roster moves: signing wide receiver Allen Lazard to the active roster from the Jags’ practice squad; defensive lineman Eric Cotton, corner back D.J. Killings join the practice squad; and tight end Ethan Wolf goes onto practice squad; injured list.
