Monday was a tough day for Green Bay Packers fans following a loss to the Vikings and Aaron Rodgers potentially season-ending injury.
Even the youngest of Packers fans took the news of Rodgers' broken collarbone hard.
NBC26 spoke with first graders in the Green Bay Area Public School District and sixth graders in the Howard-Suamico School District, and many said they're sad, but also optimistic that Brett Hundley will be able to lead the team.
Either way, they had a message for Aaron Rodgers.
"Hope you feel better Rodgers," said Marcus from Beaumont Elementary School.
And they wanted Rodgers to know they think he'll be back better than ever once his injury heals.
"He has more seasons to come," said William Nast, a sixth grader at Lineville Intermediate School.
Even young fans hundreds of miles away were devastated by the news. Gavin Finkelstein, a Packers fan from New Jersey, is planning to come to the game this weekend at Lambeau Field.
"I was really upset because I knew we were going there to see him and I didn't want him to be out for the season."
Gavin told NBC26 he's still excited to come to Green Bay and cheer on the Packers.
