NORTHEAST WISCONSIN - Wisconsin Public Service crews continue working to restore power to thousands of people in northeast Wisconsin.
Some customers have been without power since Sunday, June 11th. WPS says they've made progress in repairing the widespread power outages caused by multiple rounds of damaging storms that passed through the area.
At 9 a.m. crews restored power to more than 154,000 customers since midnight Sunday. Some areas experiencing the largest number of outages in the Waupaca area, Steven's Point, and the Green Bay area.
All available WPS crews are continuing to work around the clock to restore power and numerous additional outside crews also continue to work to assist WPS crews in making repairs in the areas most impacted by the recent storms.
