The American Red Cross, Green Bay Packers and NBC26 teamed up for a blood drive Tuesday at Lambeau Field.
And during that drive, something very special happened!
Matt Tomasak proposed to his girlfriend, Julie Brunner. Julie works for the American Red Cross. She was drawing Matt’s blood for the drive.
Julie had no idea what was going on, she thought Matt was just there to donate blood.
But he had a plan. As soon as he finished donating, he got down on one knee and popped the questions. She, of course, said yes.
“I was a little nervous with what was about to go down. I don’t know yet, it's still just a blur,” said Julie.
Matt is a Bears Fan, but we forgive him for that.
This proposal comes full circle. The couple started dating around this time last year and Julie brought him to the blood drive to donate.
