Most who attend the Wisconsin State Fair annually have their favorite fair traditions, but the park never stops innovating. The 166th year is no different.
At 15 stories tall, one of the Wisconsin State Fair's new attractions takes riders for a high ride.
"The view from the top is absolutely spectacular. I've been up on it a couple times now and you can see for 10 miles or more so you can see Lake Michigan and the entire city of Milwaukee, so it really is worth the ride," said Kristi Chuckel, Wisconsin State Fair.
For the 125th year at West Allis, the Wisconsin State Fair wanted to do something big, so they went literal, and got a 155 foot WonderWheel that fairgoers say they absolutely love.
"All the way up there it's like really scary the first time and when you go the second time, it's really fun," said Sydney Tazysak, fairgoer.
Of the new food offerings, cricket nachos may be the most intriguing.
One fairgoer said, "Tastes really good. The nachos are salty and cheesy. You can't really taste the crickets."
If bugs aren't your speed, there are more than 60 other new fair treats to try.
