The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the area of E. Reighmoor Road in the Township of Omro for the discovery of a 50-year-old deceased male.
The body was found near the shoreline of Lake Butte des Morts.
Omro/Rushford 1st Responders, the Oshkosh Fire Department and Omro Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
According to a Facebook post by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, an on-scene investigation revealed nothing criminal in nature had happened.
The victim's name will not be released until family members are notified and an autopsy performed on February 29.
