Vice President Joe Biden made the most of a campaign stop in Madison on Friday, rallying for votes for both Hillary Clinton and Russ Feingold.

Throughout his speech, he lumped the proposed policies of Donald Trump and Senator Ron Johnson together.

"Donald Trump and Ron Johnson are cut from the same political ideological cloth," Vice President Biden said to a room of 1,228 supporters at the Orpheum Theater in Madison.

Biden highlighted the issues of climate change and foreign policy in his speech, saying Trump lacks knowledge on both subjects.

"He is thoroughly unprepared and unqualified to be the Commander in Chief of the United States of America," Biden said.

However, members of the audience said they were most impressed with Biden's message of improvements for the middle class through Clinton and Feingold, including raising the minimum wage and establishing paid family medical leave.

"I don't know anybody in the neighborhoods I grew up in who could go three months without a paycheck," Biden said in regards to paid family leave.

Vice President Biden is continuing on the campaign trail for Clinton, heading to another battleground state, Pennsylvania, over the weekend.
