UWGB student to compete on 'American Ninja Warrior'

A 21-year-old Green Bay athlete is getting ready to compete on American Ninja Warrior. Luke Chambers beat out more than 70,000 people who were vying for a shot to appear on the show that airs on NBC26.

"Getting the call was super, just I mean, out of nowhere. It was out of the blue. When I saw the California number, I was just like, 'Are you serious? Is this really happening?'" said Chambers.

He juggles being a full-time student at UWGB, working two jobs, and an intense training schedule, but he says it's all part of his Type A personality.

Chambers will tackle a series of challenging obstacle courses when he competes in the qualifying round on May 24th in Denver.

The winner of American Ninja Warrior is awarded a $1 million prize.
