Two women are in custody for providing heroin that ultimately caused a Manitowoc man's death, according to police.
On Thursday, May 25, Manitowoc Police found a 37-year-old Manitowoc man dead in an apartment on the 1300 block of S. 17th Street. Investigators found drugs at the scene, police said.
An autopsy later confirmed the man died from a drug overdose.
After an investigation, police found two women they said provided heroin to the man.
Police are referring charges of Party to the Crime - First Degree Reckless Homicide to the Manitowoc County District Attorney's office for both women.
They're both in jail for violating probation/parole.
NBC26 is choosing not to name the women until they've been charged.
