Three Green Bay schools were in precautionary "secure the building" Tuesday after children from one school reported seeing a suspicious person near the building, according to the district and police.
Kennedy Elementary, McArthur Elementary and Southwest High School were all secured, but it was lifted at 12:47 p.m.
Children allegedly saw a suspicious person in the woods near McArthur Elementary who possibly had blood on his hands, according to police. Some students also told police they thought the man had a gun, officers said.
After a search of the neighborhood, police did not find anyone.
However, as a precaution, officers will stay in the area throughout the afternoon and when students are being released, Green Bay Police said.
