Steven Avery's Ex-Fiancée Jodi Stachowski told HLN in an exclusive interview that she lied in her interviews on the Netflix Series 'Making a Murderer.'
In the wildly popular series, Jodi is seen defending Avery and standing by his side. She says it was all an act and she was doing what Avery told her to do, "He said smile and be happy," said Stachowski. She says during their relationship Avery viciously beat her, "Behind closed doors, he's a monster. Steven's one person I don't trust. He's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," said Stachowski.
When asked if she believes Avery killed Teresa Halbach, Stochowski said, "Yes I do."
She says people should know the truth about Steven Avery, and shared one conversation they had, "I was in a bath and he threatened to throw a blow-dryer in there and he told me that he'd be able to get away with it," said Stachowski.
