Families in Plymouth received help Friday from the American Red Cross after a deadly apartment fire.

The Red Cross, along with several other agencies, set up a "one-stop shop" for the 12 families affected inside Redeemer Lutheran Church. The agencies all offered services to help families get back on their feet.

Red Cross workers said times like these are difficult, especially because most families won't be able to return home anytime soon.

"We're just 24 hours out, so these folks are still very, very numb, hurt, grieving," explained Michele Maki with the American Red Cross.

Several people affected by the fire told NBC26 they're thinking about the person who died Thursday.

Police have confirmed the remains of an adult were found inside the apartment building and a 46-year-old woman is missing. However, officials have not confirmed if the body found is that of the missing woman.
