The death investigated Wednesday at a Hortonville apartment complex is an apparent suicide, the Village of Hortonville said Thursday.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice assisted Hortonville Police with a death investigation on September 13. Officers did not believe the public was any danger.
Authorities were called shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday to an apartment on the 300 block of Lakeview Ave., officials said in a news release.
Police found a woman at the location who appeared to be dead, the news release said.
"Due to concerns about the scene the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations was contacted to assist," the news release said.
