Workers in homeless shelters across the state will work overnight, Wednesday, to count the people living on the streets. Leaders in homeless aid agencies in Northeast Wisconsin say point-in-time counts are vital to learning more about the desperate need in our community.
“Every month we do statistics on who’s staying in the emergency shelters programs and transitional living programs. This really gives us that complete picture of who’s living out on the streets” said Tami Frea, Program Director of the New Community Shelter.
