As the years pass by, first-hand accounts of the attack begin to fade away.
Still, the Battle of Pearl Harbor is still fresh in the mind of a local survivor.
Firman Balza, a 94-year-old Green Bay resident, said he never joined the Navy to get into a war, but war found him anyway.
Balaza was there when Pearl Harbor was attacked.
He said American's had nothing to do but fight back, and even on the day of the attack, believed this country would win the war.
The problem, Balza said, is that the world still hasn't learned from what happened at Pearl Harbor.
He said countries and leaders are still resorting to violence far too quicky.
"Truly, man has got to learn to get along with each other," Balza said. "And I've been saying this for a long time now."
Balza shared those words at Lambeau Field today, where officials announced a new Champions Honor Flight would come to Green Bay next year.
Veterans will get to fly free of charge to Washington, D.C. to see the war memorials.
Balza, who has gone on a flight in the past, said it's a wonderful experience now coming to Brown County veterans.
