Winnebago County rescue crews battled a house fire in Vinland early Sunday morning. The county's sheriff's department said it all happened around 1:00 AM Sunday morning.
They say the fire started at a house on Green Valley Rd. and County Road GG. A deputy says a man was standing outside yelling for help.
Officials say the man man was taken to a hospital nearby and suffered injuries unrelated to the fire.
Nobody was inside the home and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
