Oshkosh plane crash under investigation

The Oshkosh Police Department and Oshkosh Fire Department are investigating a plane crash in Winnebago County.

It happened at the Pioneer Airport  on Sunday around 4:00 p.m.

 

When Oshkosh Police and firefighters arrived on scene, they found a fixed wing single engine aircraft upside down. There were two men, 56-year-old man from Minnesota and 60-year-old man from Tennessee on the aircraft at the time of the crash. Both occupants were able get out safely.

 

One of the occupants suffered minor injuries and requested to be transported to the hospital. The other had no injuries and didn't require medical attention.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board were both contacted and will assist with the investigation.
