Omro Middle and High School were placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a threat was found on social media.
The threat was found around 2:15 p.m. on October 17, according to the Omro High School principal. Students were released at the normal time, 3:15 p.m., but in a controlled manner.
The controlled manner included administrators and/or police personally moving student classes as a group to the door for busing services and parent pick-up, or for student drivers to leave, the school said.
All after-school activities were canceled. Schools will be conducted as normal on Wednesday, October 18.
Omro Middle and High School are located in the same building.
