Officials were called to the 6800 block of Curt Black Road in Wescott for a fire Thursday morning.
The Shawano Fire Department received the call after a deputy with the Shawano County Sheriff's Department saw smoke while on patrol.
The Shawano County Sheriff's Department says the home was vacant at the time of the fire.
The home is located about 100 feet off the road, so firefighters said it took extra time set up to battle the fire and to bring water out to the house.
The Assistant Fire Chief says they were able to put the fire out in about 40 minutes and no one was hurt in the process.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
