Everyone walked away safely from a scary crash involving a truck and a train in Menasha Friday, police said.
Emergency crews were called to the crash around 8:20 a.m. on the 100 block of Abbey Ave.
The northbound CN train was pulling three rail cars at a speed of less than 10 MPH with its warning bell and lights on, police said. A Chevy pickup truck was pulling an enclosed trailer and crossed the railroad tracks.
The train collided with the right rear side of the truck. The truck and trailer were damaged, and the trailer caused damage to some nearby fences.
The driver of the pick-up did not report any injuries, but was still checked out and released.
Motorists are reminded to slow down when approaching railroad crossings and look both ways before crossing.
