A Menominee Tribal Police officer has been arrested after allegedly having inappropriate communication with a fifteen-year-old on social media.
On November 1, Menominee Tribal Police, the FBI and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations conducted an undercover operation.
The officer was arrested in the early morning hours of November 2.
“This type of situation is never easy for a community," said Chairman Gary Besaw. "We commend our Tribal Police Department and partnering agencies for handling this matter in an expedient and professional manner.”
Charges are expected to be filed with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. The officer is in custody.
