A Green Bay man said he jumped into action when he noticed his stolen car driving down the road.

"I've had another car stolen from me before, and I never got it back, so this time I wasn't going to wait for it," said Jason Korbas.

He chased the car; the alleged driver was eventually arrested.

Korbas said his wife discovered his car was missing from their home early Monday morning.  Later that day Korbas said he spotted someone driving his car just down the street from their house so he decided to follow the vehicle.

"I saw the car and took the opportunity just like anybody else would," said Korbas.

Korbas said when the car tried to turn, he used his truck to nudge the rear corner of the car.

That caused it to spin.

According to court documents, it then stopped against a home at the intersection of 12th Ave. and Clinton.

Korbas said three people were in the car.  He grabbed one.

"I actually had him by the shirt," Korbas said.  " 'Why did you steal my car?' and he kept saying he didn't steal it. He blamed it on the two girls."

He said the teen broke free and everyone inside ran away.

Jeremiah Strongbear, 17, is accused of the theft and was arrested shortly after the crash. He was officially charged Wednesday.

Now the car owner has a message for the teens.

"From the age of 18 to the age of 30 I probably got arrested 15 times," said Korbas.  "So if I can change anybody change."

Police said they do not condone what Korbus did by chasing the suspects and hitting his own vehicle.  Anyone including Korbus could face a ticket for doing that.

"We don't encourage that," said Green Bay Police Captain Kevin Warych.  "We encourage the community to call the police department and police officers are trained to stop those vehicles and take the people into custody."

On Wednesday, a judge issued a $2,500 signature bond for Jeremiah Strongbear.  His preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 10.
