Man dies after car crashes, catches on fire in Marquette County

A Wautoma man has died after he crashed his car and it caught on fire in Marquette County Tuesday, the sheriff's office said. 

Jerry Miller, 59, was driving on 10th Lane north of Duck Creek Lane in the Town of Newton around 5:30 p.m. on August 22, according to deputies. 

He drove off the road to the right, striking a utility box. The vehicle then started on fire. 

Miller was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash is still under investigation.
