A man has been charged in relation to the officer-involved shooting at an Appleton bar over the weekend.
Henry Nellum, 33, of Oshkosh faces six charges, including Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
According to the criminal complaint, Nellum and another man, Leander Moffitt, began fighting inside Jack's Apple Pub shortly before bar close.
Nellum told police he took out his gun to try and pass it off to someone to continue the fight, but witnesses said he allegedly fired the gun once in the direction of Moffitt, court document said.
A woman Nellum was with at the bar then allegedly put the gun under her car, court documents said.
Police were called to the bar due to this incident, which eventually resulted in the officer-involved shooting that killed Jimmie Sanders of Milwaukee. A Sanders family spokesman says Sanders was trying to break up the fight.
Nellum will be back in court June 30.
