A machine shed is a complete loss after a fire in Calumet County late Sunday night.
It broke out just after 9 pm. on County Road HH west of Kiel. Crews said the shed was fully engulfed when they arrived.
The homeowners were able to save a few tractors before fire crews arrived.
Fortunately, there were no animals inside.
Firefighters said fuel tanks inside the shed created difficulty in fighting the fire, using foam to battle it.
"It was blowing toward the heifer barn on the east side. We got the fire knocked down well enough that it didn't affect any of the buildings around it.," said Denis Mayer, New Holstein Fire Chief.
No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
