Fire crews worked early this morning to put out a fire at a large storage unit facility.

Multiple departments responded to the fire that started just after 6 AM today at 1760 Prospect Court in Grand Chute. Those departments included Grand Chute, Town of Menasha, Town of Neenah, Greenville and Ellington mutual aid.

Fire officials say heavy smoke was coming from the center of the building within two RVs.

Crews were able to quickly get the fire under control.

Due to the large size of the unit but within a tight space, Grand Chute Fire Assistant Chief Matthew Kasriel says a heavy wrecker had to come and pull the RVs out of the storage space.

So far there is no estimate to the amount of damage caused and most of the fire damage was contained to one unit with smoke damage in some surrounding units.

The cause of that fire is still under investigation.
